After almost 20 years as a master technician in the automotive
industry, it was time for a change! And he found one common
theme whenever he visited a repair shop during his inspections.
Most of the experienced mechanics, especially the older ones, all
approached him for information regarding how to become an inspector.
But due to the way the industry is set up, and the desirable nature of
the
job, it is very difficult to become a successful automotive
inspector. Unfortunately, there are a lot of master techs who
are
qualified to inspect, but not enough work to go around. So the industry
has become very "cutthroat" and many an ex-mechanic has gone bankrupt
trying to realize his dream of becoming an inspector!
